Counselling and Psychotherapy in Ayr

Life often involves many challenges and dilemmas and at times we can feel overwhelmed or lost.

You may have concerns that have troubled you for some time or which may be the result of a recent event, crisis or loss. Some people are very clear about what areas in their lives they want to explore, whereas other people may feel confused or unsure about where to start, or how counselling might be of help.

Counselling can provide the opportunity to: increase your self understanding; access and develop your own resources; open up the possibility of change so that you can find a way forward that is right for you.

Counselling takes place within the safety of a professional, therapeutic relationship based on confidentiality, trust and respect. Each person will have their own individual concerns but some examples of issues that people might bring to counselling are:

  • Relationship Difficulties
  • Stress/Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Self Esteem
  • Bereavement
  • Loss/Change
  • Infertility
  • Abuse
  • Work Issues
  • Sexual Orientation
  • Sexuality
  • Identity
  • Loneliness
  • Eating Distress
  • Serious Illness
  • Personal Growth and Development

Our therapists offer counselling and psychotherapy from our centre at 24 Wellington Square, Ayr. We see clients from across Ayrshire, including Prestwick, Troon, Kilmarnock, Irvine, Maybole and Girvan. Daytime and evening appointments are available.

We adhere to the Ethical Framework for Good Practice laid down by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). For further information visit: www.bacp.co.uk

Some people come for just a few sessions: others come over a longer period of time. An initial session provides the opportunity to consider if counselling might be of benefit to you. Please contact us using this form.
