Why is it important?
Employees are the most valuable asset for most companies so by looking after your staff you are also looking after the interests of your organisation.
The number of employees citing work–related anxiety and depression has doubled in a decade to more than one million. The psychological health charity ‘Mind’ claims that one in four of us will experience psychological distress at some point in our lives and 12.8 million working days a year are lost to work-related stress alone.
Equally, problems your employees have outside the workplace can seriously affect their performance at work. Providing an independent and confidential support mechanism will not only assist employers in attending to their responsibility to staff experiencing work related difficulties, but it will also help ensure employees deal with any problems before they seriously impact on their work.
How many sessions will my staff need?
We recommend 5 or 6 sessions – it is surprising the progress that can be made in just a few sessions.
Is this service confidential?
Absolutely, and it needs to be this way because people will not feel free to talk about the things that really matter to them if their confidentiality is not assured.
How can you use this service?
Ayrshire Counselling and Therapy Centre charges a fixed fee per session. We do not ask you to sign an annual contract, you simply telephone us and we will arrange counselling for your staff, usually within seven days. You only pay for the sessions used (or those cancelled with less than 48 hours notice) and you can use the service as often or as seldom as you need.
